The Council receives support from the Secretariat, which provides clerical and administrative support to the Council, much like a court registry. The primary functions of the Secretariat include communicating with the parties, scheduling and arranging hearings, distributing awards and managing case files.
The Secretariat is staffed by civil servants from the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training. Currently it is staffed by the Head of the SAC and two SAC officers.
